With roughly 1.42 billion people, India is the world’s largest democracy. India is the world’s fifth-largest economy, with a current GDP of around 3.60 trillion USD. India aims to become a 5 trillion USD economy by 2030. The life expectancy at birth in India increased from 35.21 to 70.19 years from 1950 to 2022. Literacy in India is around 74% in 2022, compared to 18.33% in 1950. India is a highly multicultural, pluralistic, and linguistically diverse country. India is also a country of incredible opportunities. Recently India has celebrated the 75th year of its independence or ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. While celebrating our achievements, it is the right moment to prepare ourselves for the future of India.
Therefore, the FCCI (Foundation of Critical Choices for India), the oldest think tank of overseas Indians has organized an interactive session with Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Mr. Sam Pitroda to constructively discuss several aspects of India being the emerging as global consensus builder, one of youngest countries with surplus manpower, the largest democracy and one of the biggest economies.
This interactive and engaging session will allow FCCI to present its profile and learnings from key flagship projects at the same time understand the vision forward by Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Mr. Sam Pitroda. This close group event (only by invitation) with intellectuals and professionals will allow things to discuss in depth keeping India as focus.
