Background: Recently, India has committed for the Paris agreement towards reducing greenhouse emissions in order to combat climate change. At the same time energy demand in India is growing at staggering rate owing to growing population, urbanisation and industrialisation. The clear challenge to meet the energy demands in effective and sustainable way requires the confluence of technology, business and policy sphere. This seminar will examine the energy transition in India from the perspective of available/futuristic technologies, businesses and policies.
