Over a period of more than 25 years FCCI is advocating voting rights for NRI’s. Indian Government is now taking action. Please see the links below:

1) EC can extend voting rights to NRIs in 3 months if govt gives go-ahead - FCCI advocating for this since long.

2) Will amend law to allow NRIs to vote in their own country: Centre to SC.

4) Grant of Voting Rights to NRIs - New Proposal of Modi Government.

5) FCCI Petition to Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Man Mohan Singh for Grant of postal ballot to Non-resident Indians (NRIs).

6) FCCI has been active in engaging with the Government of India for grant of dual nationality to Indian Diaspora. Foundation’s dual nationality proposal was called “a hit” by Indian media.
